FROM LIGHTWEIGHT FORMS TO A CONCRETE STRUCTURE
BetterBlock insulated concrete forms are assembled to create the shape of the walls, reinforced and braced, and then filled with concrete. The forms remain in place as part of the completed wall system.

BETTERBLOCK FORMS ARE READY TO BUILD
BetterBlock ICF products are manufactured in Atenas, Costa Rica. The forms are produced and prepared for use as the building blocks of the insulated concrete wall system.

STACK THE FORMS
BUILD THE WALL CONFIGURATION
BetterBlock forms are stacked course by course to establish the wall system. Straight forms, corners and other components allow the construction team to follow the building layout.

SHAPE THE STRUCTURE
CREATE CORNERS & OPENINGS
As the forms rise, the wall configuration takes shape around doors, windows, corners and other planned openings in the structure.

REINFORCE & BRACE
PREPARE FOR CONCRETE
Reinforcement is incorporated as required by the engineered design. Temporary bracing supports and aligns the assembled walls in preparation for concrete placement.
THE CONCRETE POUR
CONCRETE GOES IN.
BETTERBLOCK STAYS.
Concrete is placed into the reinforced ICF forms to create the structural concrete core. The BetterBlock forms stay in place after the pour, becoming part of the completed insulated wall system.
BEYOND THE WALLS
THE BUILDING CONTINUES
With the concrete structure established, construction continues with the other systems and stages required by the project.

INSULATED DECKING
BetterBlock’s insulated decking system can be incorporated into horizontal construction where specified for the project.

STRUCTURE TAKES SHAPE
The completed concrete construction becomes the structural foundation for the remaining building work and architectural finishes.
THE FINISHED RESULT
FROM ICF STRUCTURE TO FINISHED BUILDING
Once construction and finishes are complete, the ICF wall system is concealed within the finished architecture.
